Congratulations to our own Karen Williams who was recently awarded the prestigious SCORE Conductor Field Leadership Award for her many contributions to SCORE. The award was presented during the SCORE National Virtual Leadership Conference earlier this month. Karen is a past Chapter Chair of the Washington, DC Chapter and currently serves as a Certified Mentor, Chapter Executive Committee Member, National Advisory Council Member and National Women's Council Member.

The Conductor Award was created 5 years ago to specifically recognize outstanding volunteer leadership and impact in the field. The award was named Conductor with the idea that great field leaders operate very much like the conductor of an orchestra; they have to know the parts of many (brass, strings, percussion) and have to get all of these sections to play together AS ONE! A great field leader must do the same with SCORE Volunteers, chapters, districts, committees, etc.

Kudos to Karen for this well-deserved recognition and a big thank you for her continuing contributions to SCORE.
