Overview

Have you struggled to write a business plan, even knowing that it is your road map to success? Your business plan is a key to starting a business, getting a loan or raising money from investors.  This workshop helps you prepare a professional business plan. All the elements of the business plan are taught by experienced small business instructors.  You will also participate in a case study and come away with financial templates you can use in your plan.

Instructor Bios:  Bruce Gitlin and Joe Clarke

Bruce Gitlin retired from ContentGuard Inc., the industry leader in providing digital rights management (DRM) technology, where he served as interim CEO prior to the company’s acquisition. He was a founder of the company and was responsible for business development, marketing and sales. A recognized expert in Digital Rights Management technology, he also led the company’s international standards initiatives and was a frequent speaker and conference moderator on the subject of DRM. Prior to ContentGuard, Mr. Gitlin had a 30-year career at Xerox Corporation. At Xerox he held executive positions in general management, marketing, product development, and strategic planning. These included: VP and General Manager for PC and Word Processor products, VP Software Development, VP Strategy for Network Products & Services, and Director, Corporate Strategic Alliances.

Joe Clarke has over 40 years of experience providing consulting services to clients in both the federal government and commercial sectors. This experience includes over 25 years of specializing in IT consulting. Mr. Clarke holds certification as an ITIL Expert, the highest certification availbale for the IT Service Management field. Mr. Clarke retired from Gartner Consulting where he was a subject matter expert in process engineering and service management. His experience includes over 15 years of helping a small consulting firm grow from 12 employees to over 150. Mr. Clarke served as an officer in the US Coast Guard with tours of duty in Vietnam and in the Office of Boating Safety.
